Wang Mingshan currently holds the position of Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the XUAR. Wang Mingshan formerly held the positions of Deputy Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the XUAR, Secretary of the Party Committee of the XUAR Public Security Department and Director of the Public Security Department of XUAR. In these positions he has been and remains responsible for the administration of China's so called "re-education" policy in the XUAR and therefore has been and remains responsible for serious violations of the right not to be subject to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment that have taken place in so called "training centres".
